RICHFIELD, June 27-Duane M. Nelson 42, died at his home Sunday morning of a heart ailment. He was associated with his father, the late Magnus C. Nelson, of the Standard Market, one of Richfield's oldest businesses, for a number of years and at the time of his death he was a member of the Southern Utah Furniture Co. firm.
He was born in Richfield, Aug. 8, 1906, a son of Mr. Nelson and Elinora Miller Nelson. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1925 and the University of Utah in 1930.
He married Naomi Horne June 2, 1931, at Mesa, Arizona.
He was an officer of the Richfield Lions Club. He was employed for about four years as assistant cashier of the Richfield Commercial and Savings Bank. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his widow, his mother, Richfield, two sons, John Duane, Magnus Charles and a daughter Margaret Ane Nelson, Richfield; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Roberts, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Lyndall Moran, Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services will be announced by Magleby Mortuary.
