Joe Tillson Stephens, 81, of Magee, a son of Vera (Tillson) Stephens and the late Henry D. Stephens, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Jaquith Nursing Home. He had served in the Navy and had retired from the family owned busineses, Jitney Jungle and Leader Department Store . Joe is survived by: two sisters, June Berry and Bobbie Pasco, both of Magee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Joe Stephens and a brother, Billy Henry Stephens.
Visitation will be from 9 am until 10:30 am on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Tutor Funeral Home, Magee. Graveside services will follow at Magee City Cemetery at 11:00 am.
