ROBERT D. FOX FORMER CASCADE OFFICIAL DIES
Robert D. Fox, 84, former Cascade township treasurer, died Thursday (11 Aug 1949) at a convalescent home. He had been ill five years.
Mr. Fox was born at nearby Alaska and moved to Cascade with his parents at the age of 5. He remained a resident of Cascade township virtually the remainder of his life. He was a member of Cascade Church of Christ and was a life member of the Ada Masonic lodge No. 290, F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred (note: maiden name Mcgee); four daughters, Mrs. Guy Dillon of Rogers City, Mrs. Harry Ward (note: Vernice N. Fox) of Lowell, Mrs. Clark Nellist of Ada and Mrs. Melvin Shimmel of Cascade; three sons, Russell of Grand Rapids, Kenneth of Ada and Elwyn of Curtis, and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Church of Christ. Burial at Cascade Cemetery. The body will be at Metcalf mortuary until Saturday noon.
