SERVICES HELD FOR J.W. TWITCHELL
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Richfield First Ward Chapel for James W. Twitchell, who died at his home there on Friday, April 11. Burial was in the Richfield city cemetery. Mr. Twitchell made his home in Delta for close to twenty years, coming here in 1923. He farmed at Abraham for some years and later was in Delta where he ran a cream station. Six years ago he moved to Provo and two years ago the family moved to Richfield. In his early life he had lived in Daggett and Duchesne. He was born Dec. 26, 1887 in Beaver, a son of James Ephraim and Louisa Wall Twitchell. He was fifty-nine years of age when he died. Mr. Twitchell is survived by his widow, Mrs. Willie Elsie Shellhorse Twitchell, and seven sons and daughters; Mrs. Stella Sagers, Tooele; Mrs. Pearl Larsen, Orem; Mrs. Louisa Udley, Joseph; Mrs. Alice Susie Vesper, Salina; Mrs. Ruth Carter, James and Joseph Twitchell, Richfield. His brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Idona Briggs and Peter Twitchell, Ogden; Mrs. Cecil Beckstead, Mrs. Frances Bohn and Mrs. Dora Rose, Delta; Ephraim Twitchell, Orem; Mrs. Edna Penrod, Provo and Della Twitchell, American Fork. There are twenty grandchildren. Those who attended the services from here were Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Beckstead; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bohn; Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rose; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dalley; Mr. and Mrs. James Brady; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Colby; Mrs. Lois T. Colby from Salt lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ira Jensen from Baker; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor from Abraham and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Jensen and Mrs. Rhoda Terry and daughter from Provo.
