Rebecca (Rebekka) was the daughter of Phillip Ausmus Crecelius and his first wife Rebecca Enlow.

Rebecca married four times; first to David Weedman on 7 Jan 1841 in Crawford County Indiana. David died in 1862 and is buried in Mt Eden Cemetery in Crawford County. Her second marriage to Stephen B. Morgan on 22 October 1865 in Crawford County Indiana, third to John E. Newton on 9 June 1875 and her fourth husband was the elderly Benjamin Carroll of Orange County Indiana on 27 July 1883 in Dubois County, Indiana.

Rebecca is buried with the name of Rebecca Carrol on her headstone and is buried next to Rachael Crecelius and Isaac A.E. Crecelius. There are also many unmarked graves in this row. In 2012 a picture of the headstone was taken, and it was white and nearly illegible.

Cause of death: LaGrippe and congestion of the lungs.
