Michael Wayne Cavender, age 48 of Little Elm, Texas passed away on March 13, 2009. He was born on December 2, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Norma (Groner) and Charles F. Cavender. On November 28, 1981 Michael married Janie Marie Turner in Amarillo, Texas. Michael is survived by his wife, Janie Cavender of Little Elm, Texas; daughters, Christina (Cavender) Taylor, and Dek Davis of Carrollton, Texas and Kimberly Cavender, and Kyle Bottem of Hewitt, Texas; grandchildren, Zackary Taylor and Kathryn Bottem; mother, Norma (Cavender) Varnell and her husband, Dan Varnell of Sherman, Texas; brother, Greg and Peggy Cavender of Keller, Texas and Scott and Shelby Cavender of Frisco, Texas; nephews, Denton Cavender and Austin Cavender. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Cavender; uncle, Harvey Cavender; uncle and aunt, Mutt and Margaret Bateman. A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor John McKinzie officiating.
