Catherine E. Cole, 85, of the Betsy Ross Home, died late Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2012, in Rome Memorial Hospital. She was a former resident of 226 Farrier Ave. Towers II, and had been a resident of Betsy Ross for the past 18 months. In earlier years she was employed with the former W. T. Grant Store in Oneida; Oneida Molded Plastics; and was on the cafeteria staff at VVS School. She retired in 1988. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Oneida. Surviving is a son, James Cole of Oneida; and a niece and nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 11, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Richard Kapral, pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oneida. Friends may call on Friday from 9-10 a.m. preceding the service. Arrangements are under the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida.
