Born April 18, 1917 to Warner Marion and Ola Cochran Gelzer, she grew up in Hillsdale, MI, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and worked and lived 40 years in her home at 1010 Joanne Ct. in Bloomfield Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, W Nicholas Kerbawy, her sisters, Ola Gelzer Baker and Jill Gelzer Berry, and her brothers, Warner and George Gelzer.
She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Gelzer (Paul) Morris of Hillsdale, her son, Kyle C. Kerbawy and wife, Teri of Bloomfield Hills, grandchildren Kelli Lyn (Jon) Steiger of Ann Arbor, Kyle C. (Michelle) Kerbawy Jr. of Clarkston and Kelsey Kerbawy of Bloomfield Hills and great grandchildren Luke, Paul and Irina Steiger and Carter Kerbawy.
A private family memorial service will be held at at later date. Donations may be sent to the Hillsdale Public Library, 11 E. Bacon St., Hillsdale, MI 49242.
