Terry R. Norris, 71, of Ridgely, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Friday, May 11, 2012 at his residence.

He was a retired tool & die maker for Bennett's Incorporated and a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church. He was a duck call maker, member of Reelfoot Duck Call Association, he was a cabinet, furniture and knife maker, a taxidermist, member of National Wild Turkey Federation and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with Bro. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10am - 1pm Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel and from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Norris of Ridgely; two daughters, Chancey Pope and husband, Charles, and Terressa Edgin and husband, Chris, all of Dyersburg; a son, Kelly Norris and wife, Jennifer, of Dyersburg; his mother, Thelma Norris of Metropolis, IL; three sisters, Ruth Collier of Anna, IL, Janie Goines of Metropolis, IL and Brenda Goines of Grand Chain, IL; three brothers, Donnie Norris of Cypress, IL, Glen Norris of Tiptonville and Darrell Norris of Salem, IL; and two grandchildren, Erin Hunter and Genevieve Savannah Pope, both of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Norris; a son, Terry Norris, Jr.; and three brothers, Kenneth Norris, Dennis Norris and Autry Norris.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Norris, Casey Norris, Josh Barnes, Kirk Palmer, Jeremiah Palmer and Shane Cockman.
