Newport, July 20. - Mrs. Amy Happle Spalding, 72, died Friday at her home in Columbus, Miss.
A former resident of Newport, she is survived by a son, Max, of Santa Monica, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. H. D. Faul, of Newport, and a grandson, Donald Collins, of Newport.
Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock at the funeral home on South Second street, with the Rev. Dr. C. F. Caruthers, pastor of the Newport Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Newport Cemetery.
