Mary was the daughter of Robert Ransom and Elizer Jacobs. She married John B. Locklear about 1891 according to the 1900 Federal Census.

The following was taken from the Jun. 11, 1945 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary B. Locklear, 89, widow of John B. Locklear, who died Friday about 1 o'clock at her home near St. Anna church will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Old Prospect church, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mary was the daughter of Robert Ransom and Elizer Jacobs. She married John B. Locklear about 1891 according to the 1900 Federal Census.
