Irma L. Skinner
Caro

Passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2001 at Caro Community Hospital. She was 84.

She was born on January 26, 1917, at Ellington, and was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County.

The former Irma Allard graduated from Caro High School and married Kenneth Skinner on Nov. 1, 1936, in Saginaw. She and her husband were self-employed farmers.

Irma had worked as a nurse's aide at the Caro State Home, Sacrider Nursing Home and the Van Winkle Home.

Throughout her life she looked after her men; her father-in-law, her husband and four sons. She enjoyed reading the Bible and nursing information.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Skinner; four sons, David and Connie Skinner of Durand, Albert and Ruthann Skinner of Owosso, Robert and Beth Skinner of Caro, Paul Skinner of Caro; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Phyllis Allard of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Allard and Marion Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at Collon Funeral Home of Caro on Monday, May 14 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Phil Rice of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Ellington Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 4-9 p.m. No visitation Sunday (Mother's Day), and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
