Alexander C. Marshall, son of Samuel and Amy Marshalll, was born in the township of Rockbridge, June 19, 1855, and died Dec. 2, 1927, at his home near Neptune, aged 72 years, 5 months and 17 days.
On April 25, 1891, he was married to Emma Chrisman who survives him.
To this union were born two daughters, Clara, at home, and Mrs. Delia Shea, of Yuba, and three sons, Fred, at home, and Owen and Glasier, who died in infancy, six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Rhoda Casey, of La Valle, and two brothers, John, of Rockbridge; and Marion, of Willow, also survived him.
Mr. Marshall had lived in Willow township for thirty years and was known to all as an upright, industrious loving husband and father.
Though of a retiring unassuming nature his influence was ever on the side of right as he saw it and his loss will long be felt in the community.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Loyd U.B. church conducted by W.H. Adams and burial was at Yuba.
