Robert Armstrong, the well known steamboat engineer on the U. S. snag boat McComb, was crushed to death on the 13th by an Iron Mountain Railroad train at Bushburg, Missouri. Robert Armstrong was born and reared in this city and was fifty-six years old. He married a sister of the late Aug. M. and Frederick Jackson, and three daughters survive the marriage. An only son died about one year ago. The family reside at No. 317 Vincennes street. - New Albany Daily Ledger 14 Jul 1892
