Bro. Whiting Cornish was born in Berkshire, Mass., May 18, 1784, and died in the Lord, in Greene, N.Y., March 15, 1876.
Brother Cornish emigrated to Coventry, N.Y., in 1808. He was converted to God when about thirty or thirty-one years of age. His house was the home of Methodist preachers for many years. Having a great taste for music, he became chorister of the Church at Coventry. He also served the Church in the capacity of steward and sexton, and was faithful in all these relations. Brother Cornish lived his religion and in the latter years of his life read the Bible a great deal. He was gathered in like a shock of corn fully ripe - ripe in years and in grace. His last quotation of Scripture was, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." He leaves behind to mourn his loss, one son and six daughters, one of whom is the wife of the Rev. L. Hartsough.

Whiting and Temperance had 10 children:

1. Elizabeth Wylie Cornish 1824-aft. 1910, married Horatio Haskell Cooke
2. John Wylie Cornish 1810-1857
3. Maria Wylie Cornish 1812-1893, married Eli Augustus Trowbridge
4. Livonia Amanda Cornish 1814-1889, married Weston Holcomb
5. George Washington Cornish 1816-1901
6. Temperance Wylie Cornish 1818-1880, married Ezra Conant
7. Whiting Augustus Cornish 1820-1871, married Mary Ann Mallory
8. Sarah Wylie Cornish 1822-1864
9. Isabella Marr Cornish 1828-1918, married Lewis Hartsough
10. Jane Cornish 1831-1902 married Harvey F. Beardsley

John and George were each married, but I'm not really sure I have the right names of their wives, so I'd rather not send them.
