Roy Glenn Botts, age 78, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Scott County Hospital. He was born June 30, 1933 in Huntsville, Tennessee to the late Leamon E. Botts and Bertie Strunk Botts. He was a Member of the Mill Branch Baptist Church. He was retired from the U. S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) Infant Brothers; Father-in-law and Mother–in-law: Billy Byrd and Louvania Byrd.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Byrd Botts of Huntsville; Daughters: Jackie Lynn Frits and husband Johnny and Judy Birchfield; Brother: Jack Botts; Sisters: Imogene Calhoun and Geraldine Lake; (5) Grandchildren; (9) Great Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until time 8:00 P.M., Sunday Evening, May 6, 2012 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday Morning, May 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Michael Ray Jeffers and Bro. Guy Ainsworth Officiating. Music will be provided by the Mill Branch Trio. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be the Military.
