Precious Memories of A Young Woman's Life

Toni Lanette Hopkins was born on July 9, 1966 to Manuel Lee Peeples, Sr. and Earlee Mae Hopkins-Huggins in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Toni grew up in Tulsa, attending the Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from The McLain High School Class of 1984. While attending Tulsa Community College, Toni accepted a position with the Tulsa District Corps of Engineers. Shortly afterwards, Toni married Arron Wells, and from this union, two beautiful children were born. Toni then began her career with St. Francis Hospital for 19 years, and Oklahoma Heart Institute for 5 years.

Upon accepting Jesus Christ at an early age, Toni united with Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.L. Morris. She would later attend Metropolitan Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Ray A. Owens. On Friday May 11, 2012, Toni completed her journey through Heaven's open door to God's open arms. Toni joins in peace her grandmother, Lillie B. Wakefield, and father Manuel Lee Peeples, Sr. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two children: Arienne and Jordan Wells, Tulsa, OK., mother, Earlee Mae Hopkins-Huggins, Tulsa, OK., two sisters: Sherri Hopkins, Mesquite, TX., Deborah Peeples-Reese, Macomb, MI., four brothers: Alfred Nelson (Ann), Tulsa, OK., Terrance Hopkins, Dallas, TX., Manuel Peeples (Laura), Freddie Peeples, Tulsa, OK., three grandchildren: Terion, Patrick, and Paige Crisp, Tulsa, OK., special friends: Walter R. Block, Joyce Carey, Tulsa, OK., along with aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

".....They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Her Celebratory Service of Life will be Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 11AM at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Tulsa. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12Noon until 7PM.
