Mrs. Augusta Craighead, widow of Richard Craighead, died at her home in South Middleton last evening at 9.30 o'clock aged 80 years. She had been ill for several weeks, but her death was practically due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Craighead was a woman of high Christian character and a member of the First Presbyterian church of Carlisle. A loving mother and friend of the needy has gone to her eternal reward.
Five children survive: Mary, Rachel, Harriette, and John and Daniel, all of South Middleton.
Funeral on Thursday at 12 o'clock, services at the house, to be conducted by Rev. A. N. Haggerty. Interment in the old graveyard, Carlisle.
