Janice was the oldest child of John W. and Martha Love Summers Davis. She attended schools in Brunswick and Bolton where she was a varsity cheerleader. Janice played piano and organ at Brunswick Baptist Church where the family were members. In 1956 she married Harry Edward Nicholson who had attended Bolton as well. They had one child, Barry Edward Nicholson, before she was diagnosed with cancer . In the 1950's surgery and radiation were the best and only treatments available, but at age 20 she passed away after a brave two year fight. Her funeral was held at Brunswick Baptist Church where she had sung her solo "The Love of God" as a teenager. She was a person everyone loved as a little girl and a young woman. She was also survived by her brother John and sisters Gloria and Carol as well as grandparents D.H. and Zella Davis and Mrs. Vernon Summers.
