A memorial service for Mrs. Olive Sherrard Warren, age 94, will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Bastrop, LA. Visitation with the family will be 2:30 p.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Warren, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012. From 1950 to 1998 she was a secretary and treasurer for First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was a member of the choir, active in Sunday School, and a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Warren was also an original member of the Morehouse General Ladies Auxillary.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jack Warren; two brothers, Alvie Sherrard and Guy Sherrard; and three sisters, Annie Coverdale, Lou Updegraff, and Irma Brook.

Mrs. Warren is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Warren Jeffries and husband David of Mobile, AL; son, James Sherrard Warren and wife Linda of Roswell, GA; four grandchildren, Jim Jeffries and wife Virginia of Mobile, AL, John Jeffries and wife Treesie of Mobile, AL, David Warren and wife Joy of Auburn, AL; Lisa Warren DeGrange and husband Mark of Columbus, MS; and ten great grandchildren.

Grandsons and great grandsons, Jim Jeffries, John Jeffries, David Warren, Mark DeGrange, Thomas DeGrange, and John Warren Jeffries will serve as pallbearers for the private committal service to be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
