Son of Hugh Tincher and
Marcella Griggs Tincher
-----------------------------
Married Maude Carter on
January 9, 1901
----------------------------
Dr. Edward Harper Tincher and his wife Maude (Carter) Tincher had one son William Ira Tincher which who my mother comes from, sadly he died before I was born.
But my mother his granddaughter loved and adored her grandfather, Dr. Edward Harper Tincher, telling me she became a nurse because he inspired her so much.
My mother was a sickly child and her grandfather did everything he could to help her medically and when she became bed ridding he would spend hours with her to help her past the time. He taught her to read and write in Latin by the time she was 13, he would bring my mother medical books to read and would answer any question to help in her study's as she lay in bed weak in heart.
My mother grew stronger and smarter in that year, and after learning to walk again, nothing seemed to stop her or hold her down again.
My mother always talked about her grandfather with the expression of a loving soul with which she carried fond memories through-out her entire life.
