G. ANGIER CLEAVES
YARMOUTH - G. Angier Cleaves, 83, a lifelong resident of this town, died at his home on East Main St., yesterday. He had been in ill health for some time. The son of Thomas G. and Jusline Poole Cleaves, he was born Aug. 27, 1875. Mr. Cleaves, received his education in the Yarmouth schools and was a farmer much of his life. At one time he operated a livery stable in conjuction with a wagon paint shop. He also transported the mail from the train to the post office. For many years he drove a horse-drawn school wagon. He is survived by his widow, the former Laura Hitchcock of Yarmouth; five sons, George T., Clarence H., Edwin C., Ralph H., C. Stanley, all of Yarmouth; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy A. Gaudet also of Yamrouth and Mrs. Alice J. Bock of Baltimore, Md., 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lindquist Funeral Home at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. Clyde M. Campbell, pastor of teh First Parish Congregational Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Yarmouth.
