Funeral services for Albert Bunge, 87, retired farmer, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bennett, Oct. 20 with the Rev. Daniel Ognoski officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery, Lowden.

Pallbearers were Erhard Kroemer, Lloyd and Harvey Hein, Melvin Wiebel, Robert Bunge and Leroy Clausen. Mrs. Deb Hartwig was vocalist and Twlya Hein was organist. Olga Hintze and Esther Clausen were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Bunge died at Muscatine General hospital Oct. 16.

The son of John and Caroline Hintze Bunge he was born near Lowden Nov. 27, 1892 and was married to Emma Gehrls at Davenport March 11, 1920. He retired from farming in 1960 and moved to Durant.

Mr. Bunge was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bennett and a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Gertrude) Thiering, Muscatine and Mrs. Adolph (Marjorie) Badtram, New Liberty; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Fred (Olga) Wiebel, Lowden.
