He was born March 25, 1927, in Sailor Springs, Ill., to Jesse and Velma (King) Harrison. He married Mary Lyons on Nov. 23, 1974, in Germantown Hills.
She survives, along with three daughters, Carla (Jon) Penrod of Washington, Kathy (Michael) Clifton of Pekin and Connie (Michael) Carroll of Littleton, Colo.; one stepson, Larry (Barb) Clauson of Hanna City; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, James Harrison of Salem, Ohio; and one sister, Mary Belle Lyons of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Doris Jean Harrison; and one sister, Maxine Bailey.
Carl was a World War II Navy veteran and worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 32 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2078 in East Peoria. He bowled for 45 years in Peoria area bowling leagues and competed for 37 consecutive years in the ABC National Tournament. He was the secretary of the Greater Peoria Bowling Association for 20 years.
Carl was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
