Mrs. Hinton Last Rites Set Sunday

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. From Seydler Funeral home for Mrs. George (Perle) Hinton, who died at the Holmes Memorial hospital at 2:14 a.m. Saturday after several months of ill health.

The Rev. Claude F. O'Neall, pastor of the Baptist church of Waelder, and the Rev. Leslie C. Welch, pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct the last rites with burial to take place in the City cemetery.

Mrs. Hinton was born on November 20, 1898, in Hamon, to Serre and Mary Alice Hamon DuBose, natives of Gonzales county.

She was married on November 25, 1925, to George C. Hinton, also a resident of the Hamon community, and the couple had spent their married life at their home in that community.

A member of the First Baptist church, Mrs. Hinton was also interested in. Music. She was a member and a past president of the Music Study Club of this city.

Survivors include her husband, George of Hamon; three brothers, Carl DuBose of Route 3, Gonzales; Warren DuBose, Sr., Gonzales; and Fred DuBose of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Joe, Clem and Kent DuBose, all of Gonzales.

Pallbearers will include Bobby Miller, Fred Havel Jr., Rufus King, Durwood Selma, H. L. (Zingy) Sears and Lewis Wallace.
