Fairview Community Shocked Over Death of Former Resident N.J. Biddy Mrs. J.M. Wilson
The news of the death of N.J. Biddy, of Atlanta was a great shock to us. He and Lucile had spent the last weekend here at their old home and he seemed in perfect health. God, in His mercy allowed his brother, Whitfield Shepherd of Chattanooga, Tenn. to be visiting at the Biddy's at the time and this was a great blessing to Mrs. Biddy. N.J. was laid rest in the Shepherd lot in the Madison Cemetery Monday at 11:30. Mrs. Biddy, Whitfield Shepherd and Bobbie Shepherd came down to their home here Sunday. They returned to Austell the Sunday afternoon after the funeral. These folks are our homefolks and we grieve with them in their sorrow. N.J. Biddy lived here as a school boy and has spent a part of every year here since among us. We thought a great deal of him. Besides his wife, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Newt Biddy and two sisters.
