William Eddie "Bud" Wright, 61, retired Taylor County farmer, died Saturday, July 12, at 9:20 a.m., in Rosary Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Taylor County, December 5, 1896, the son of the late Eddie Wright and Mrs. Mariah Shofner Wright. He united in marriage to Miss Alice Phillips, July 14, 1920. She preceded him in death, August 12, 1949. To this union four sons and three daughters were born. Surviving are Earnest of Indianapolis; Edward of Sterling, Illinois; Odell of Marrison, Illinois; Mrs. Esther Brill of Arlington, California; and Jean Wright of the U. S. Air Force in Florida. On October 14, 1950 he united in marriage to Mrs. Beulah Ford. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by three step-sons, Ronald, Donald and Billy Ford all of Taylor County; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Tommie Phillips and Mr. Clayton Wright both of this city, Mrs. W. C. Phillips of Indianapolis, and Mr. Hugh Wright of Louisville. Also seven grandchildren and many other relatives. Funeral services were held from the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home on Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Walter Loy in charge. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Turner Campbell, Hershel Hash, Neddie Beams, Henry Pierce, Everett DeWitt and Howard Pritchard.
