Jacob Brosious served in Co "F" 106 PA Vols., (a company largely raised from
Hughesville, Lycoming Co. PA) during the Civil War. He was present for duty at
battles of Yorktown, Fair Oaks, Savage Station. At Antietam (Sept 17, 1862) he
was badly wounded in the leg. He lived for a time in Hannibal before moving
into north-central MO
