Birth: 2nd of eight known children in Jasper county, Missouri. (Monument has 1854, however, 1900 census gives 1859, which other census and death index agree)

2nd great grandfather William Walton, born 1742 in Virginia was a Revolutionary War veteran moving to Saint Louis county, Missouri to amass a large plantation near what now is Bridgeton when still controlled by Spain, 1792, where he and wife Mary died and buried with nine other family members in Fee Fee cemetery.
 
Census: 1880, age 20, Byrd's Store township, Brown county, Texas with parents, paternal grandmother & four siblings.
 
Census: 1880, age 21, Byrd's Store township, Brown county, Texas in household of G W Allen as a laborer.
 
Census: 1900, age 40, Justice Precinct 4, Cole county, Texas with wife & five kids.

Census: 1910, age 50, Justice Precinct 4, Cole county, Texas with wife & five kids.

Removed to New Mexico before April 1916 Texas death of mother. 

Census: 1920, age 60, Cedarvale, Torrance county, New Mexico with wife & one child.
 
Census: 1930, widowed age 70 Palo Verde, Riverside county, California with 1st son's family.
 
Death: in Riverside county, California.
 
Father: Jacob Creighton Walton b: 21 SEP 1836 Saint Louis county, Missouri.
Mother: Louisa Jane Shannon b: 19 NOV 1839 Vineyard township, Washington county, Arkansas.
 
Marriage: Nora Alice Hasty b: 7 JAN 1862 Texas. (Monument has 1859, however, 1900 census says 1862, which agrees with other census)
