After completing high school, Jim moved to Lansing, Mich., and was employed by The Oldsmobile Division of General Motors. He retired in 2003 as a General Supervisor after 35 years of service.
Jim enjoyed golf, bowling, tinkering with hot rod cars, and coaching girl's softball. He was an ardent Michigan State, Detroit Tigers fan, and avid memorabilia collector.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Helen Deupree.
He is survived by daughters Jill and Jennifer of Owosso, Mich., Siblings Chuck Deupree, Collinsville, Texas; Dick Deupree, Gowen, Mich.; Dave Deupree, Independence, Mo.; Mary Deupree, Missouri Valley; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday May 14, at the Woodbine Cemetery with Pastor Neil Deupree officiating.
