Funeral Services for Mr. Earnest Candler Cross 71 were held at Westwood Funeral Home Chapel in Griffin on Wednesday October 15. Mr. Cross died on October 15 at Griffin Spalding Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Cross was the son of the late Allen and Janie Veale Cross. He was married to Mrs. Laverne L. Cross of Griffin.
He is survived by a son, Mr. Lawrence Cross, Madison, a granddaughter, Mrs Carey Cross Jones, Madison, a great grandson, Mr. Richard Jones, Madison, three sisters, Mrs. L.H. Walker, Madison, Mrs. Jimmy King, Macon, and Mrs. Sally Peden, Cleveland, Tennessee.
The Reverend Newton Scott and the Reverend Day MacFarland officiated at the service. Burial was in Madison Cemetery. Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
