Born April 30th, 1927 in Florence, Colorado to Ralph August Smith and Sadie Alice Grabin Smith, she is preceded in death by her parents and husband Walter Jacob Kopcial whom she married July 1st, 1945, her brothers Ralph H. Smith, his wife Eleanor and Floyd A. Smith and her granddaughter Shannon R. Rose.
Darlene is survived by her children Dennis Bruce Kopcial and wife Ruth, Douglas Jay Kopcial, Debra Lynn Brown and Donald Jacob Kopcial and her grandson Timothy C. Kopcial. She also leaves three great-granddaughters Mikaela A. Rose, Mercedes H-J. Rose and Infiniti E. Rose, a sister-in-law Shirley Smith, grandson-in-law Eddie Rose, many nieces and nephews and a parrot Peepers and lovebird Henry.
The Kopcial family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, and a funeral service on Monday, December 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Woodville Grace Brethren Church, 580 Woodville Road, Mansfield. Pastor Ron Smals and Pastor Gene Witzky will be officiating with burial to follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
