OWEN, ALBERT RAY—Albert Ray Owen, son of Rev. John and Elizabeth Owen, was born May 7, 1883, at Sheldon, Mo. He passed away at the Senior Citizens Home at Oxford, Neb., Saturday, September 25, 1965, at the age of 82 years, four months and 18 days. He resided in Geneva 29 years.

The deceased operated an auto repair business in Geneva many years. He resided in the Fairmont Nursing home a year before going to the Oxford home a few months ago.

Death resulted from complications following a stroke.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother, wife and an infant son.

He was married to Mrs. Norma Shapley, August 6, 1937, at North Platte.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Norma; a step-daughter, Mrs. Waneva Sheppard of Sacramento, Cal.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, R. Z. Owen of Joplin, Mo., and Bryon of Seminole, Okla; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 28, at 2 p. m. at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva with Rev. Maude V. Mann of Lushton officiating. Rev. Miss Mann, accompanied by Mrs. Oscar Nelson, sang “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.”

Pallbearers were Hugh Wilkins, John Bures, Orval Ellison, Myron Carson, Marlin Domeier and Melvin Ralston.

Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
