Funeral Held Sunday for Mrs. Shepherd
Funeral services for Mrs. R.W. Shepherd, 67, who died Thursday, February 27, were held last Sunday at the Madison Baptist Church. Rev. Ellis Sammons of Macon and Rev. Johnston of Rutledge, officiating. Interment was at the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Shepherd was a life long resident of Morgan County. She was a member of the Antioc (sic) Baptist church.
She is survived by two sons, R.W. Shepherd, Jr. of Memphis, Tenn. Charles B. Shepherd of Hartwell and one daughter, Mrs. N.J. Biddy of Atlanta, three sisters, Mrs. O.H. Peek, Mrs. R.A. Trotter, and Mrs. Jimmie Weaver.
Pallbearers were: Jack Jones, Joe Clemons, Reginal Peek, Robert Davis, Evan Walker, Dr. J.H. Nicholson, Asbury Baldwin, and Denny Trotter.
W.C. Hemperly was in charge of arrangements.
