James Nielson Laid to Rest
aka Herning Nielson

Funeral services were held in the city cemetery Tuesday afternoon over the remains of James Nielson, an old Richfield resident, better known here under the name of Herning, which was given to him to make him outstanding among the many other Nielsons of our city.
Mr Nielson removed from Richfield about twenty years ago, making his residence in Eureka where he died last Sunday. The body was taken for interment to Richfield where Mrs Nielson, his wife, was buried eighteen years ago and his father twenty five years ago. Decedent and his father when living in Richfield were well known quarry men and quarried all the stones used in building the old tabernacle.
Bishop W A Seegmiller officiated at the grave. Virginius Bean was the speaker of the occasion and music was furnished by a quartet consisting of Mrs Jas M Peterson, Mrs Anna Callaway, Jonathan Lloyd and A M Maughn.
