Attala County, Mississippi. His parents were Thomas and Mary N Richardson.
Thomas and Sallie had five children: Samuel Reuben Richardson, William H Richardson, Alice Lenora (Richardson) Tollison and Doeper Lee Richardson.
Thomas was in the Civil War:
The Records show that T. Mc Richardson, private, Comanpy A ( Captian Ridley) , 1 st Mississippi Infantry ( Col. Withers ) , Confederate States Army, enlisted May 10, 1862. His name appears on the roll for November and December, 1863 , last on file, with remarks, "Absent without leave from August 23 to October 25." He was a Prisnor of war.
Sallie P Richardson drew a pension #22058 and died in the Confederate Home and is buried at the State Confederate Cemetery in Austin, Texas
The parents of Thomas McDuffie Richardson were Thomas Samuel Richardson and Minerva Elliott. They were also my great grandparents. There was a mistake on a census that listed Minerva as Mary N and this may be the transcribing of poor handwriting from that time period. Some of T M Richardson's descendants have gone to great trouble, time and expense to gather information that is documented from other states and there is one loose cannon out there putting out incorrect info.
