Sadie Glawson, 98, of Iberia died Sunday, March 1, 1992 at Eldon Skilled Care Center in Eldon. She was born March 16, 1893, near Iberia to Charles and Rosa Smith Aust. On Feb. 18, 1912, she was married at Iberia to Joseph Ulmer Glawson, who died Sept 20, 1963.

A lifelong resident of Miller County, she taught in rural schools in southern Miller County and also had worked at Fort Leonard Wood. She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church near Iberia.

Surviving her are a son, Joe Glawson of Iberia; three daughters, Freeda Jobe of Jefferson City, Wilma Glawson of Tuscumbia and Helen Scoles of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Stan Way and the Rev. Jesse Norris officiating. Burial was in Iberia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Eldon Skilled Care Center.
