Archippus was the son of Henry and Dorcas Blodgett. He was born in Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut on August 16, 1733. On June 16, 1753, Archippus married Mary Lamkin (1732-1790) in Connecticut. After several years, Archippus, Mary and children moved to the wilderness of New Hampshire. He was one of the twelve original settlers of Stratford, Coos, New Hampshire.Archippus fought in the Revolutionary War and was very involved in his new community. He is my 6th Great Grandfather and I am dearly proud of him. The Burnside Cemetery has many field stones for markers and they can not be read. However, this was the earliest cemetery in the area and believe Archippus would have been buried here.
