Isom Ellington Adams Sr. was the son of Isom Adams and Phyllis Day Adams. He was a brother to Harold Eugene Adams, James Adams, Lee Adams, Paul Adams, Bill Adams, Tommie Adams, Wayne Adams, Betty (Klay) and Mary (Burnsworth). Nicknamed Blackie, he had one child, Isom Ellington Adams Jr., by his first wife Carol Monroe Adams. He is survived by his wife Verna "Shug" Adams. Isom's Great Great Grandfather was Ellington Adams, an early pioneer of the Prairieton/Moweaqua area of Illinois. He was the forth generation in a row to have the Isom Adams name.
