Professional Hockey Player. A native of Durham, Ontario, he played for the Boston Bruins from 1927 to 1928. He retired from hockey in 1933 after playing a number of years in the Minors or semi-pro leagues. At about this same time he got into trouble with the law involving a 17 year old girl. He was sentenced to 5 years but did not serve his full term. He later went to Schumacher, Ontario, and coached hockey. In 1934 his wife sadly died during childbirth. Later in life he moved to Toronto, Ontario, and then returned to his hometown of Durham, Ontario, to look after his mother, and also got a job working for the Maple Leaf Veneer Company. In 1959 while enjoying some fun up at his cottage with his family including drinking and eating, Lauder was mysteriously found dead. At the time of his death on September 6, 1959, he was 52 years old.
