Hilla was the daughter of Jess & Vina (Baker) Callahan.

She married John James Preston. Three children were: Wilburn Hugh, Levina, & Dorothy Louise.

Hilla was a patient at Milling Sanitorium in Mineral Wells, TX when she died at 8 p.m. on March 9, 1928, from a heart related condition, Mitral Insufficiency. Her husband, shown as John Preston of Graham, TX was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on March 10.

John, the son of Samuel & Mary (Mansfield) Preston, lived in Weatherford, TX where he worked as a Pumper in the Oil Industry. He was admitted to the VA Hospital in Dallas on Jan. 23, 1963, where he was being treated for "Middle Cerebral Artery Thrombosis. Four days later, he died at 5:40 p.m. from "Aspiration Pneumonia" He was 71 years old. His body was transported to Graham where he was buried beside Hilla.
