Diane E. Osburn Grand Ledge Today a wife, mother, and grandmother was taken from our family. She has been relieved of her burden and placed into the gentle hands of our Lord. Diane was a beautiful lady who welcomed all into her heart with her irreplaceable smile. She loved the beach, the sound of surf, walking with her sons and granddaughters along side the sandy shore. Trips to Petoskey and Traverse City to indulge in "the best pasties in the world", dining at The Old Mission Tavern, and Stella's were highlights of these trips. This beautiful lady will be missed by her family and all that knew her. Mrs. Diane E. Osburn, 70, born December 14, 1941 in Chicago, IL, passed away on May 7, 2012 in Lansing, MI. Diane was a retired Administrative Research Staff Assistant Michigan State University; a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Ledge. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James and sons Jeffrey of Lansing and Gregory (Amy) of Grand Ledge; also granddaughters Madison and Abby; sister Roberta (Richard) Hartman of Peoria, IL and special friend Janeece Hansen of Louisville, KY. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Corrine (Stillson) Parks. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 - 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 517 S. Clinton St., Grand Ledge, with Pastor Dawn Donato officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge.
