New Florence Young Man Mangled at Holsopple.
Holsopple, April 7--Joe Snodgrass, of New Florence, who spent Monday night here, was frightfully injured about 9 o'clock yesterday morning when he fell in attempting to board a coal train going toward Johnstown. He was thrown under the wheels, losing his right arm and left hand, and sustaining cuts about the head. The train was stopped and Snodgrass was carried into the waiting room, where Dr. H.A. Zimmerman dressed his injuries. He was later sent to the Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. Snodgrass is about thirty years of age and is a son of Dixon Snodgrass.

SNODGRASS -- Joseph D., 81, Ligonier Street, New Florence, died evening of Dec. 8, 1969 at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Jan. 4, 1888, in Fairfield Township, son of Dixon and Rachel (Luther) Snodgrass. Former burgess of New Florence and justice of the peace. Friends received after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. R. Paul Beatty. Interment, Fairfield United Presbyterian Cemetery.
