Health Care Center. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late
George and Minnie Ferguson Bumgardner. Juanita was a member of First Baptist
Church, York. She was a very loving person who enjoyed traveling, gardening and referencing poems.
She is survived by her children; Norma Holland and husband Alvin of York, Donald R. Steele and wife Beth of West Lake Village, CA, grandchildren; Heather (David) Templeton, Zachary (Melissa) Holland, Eric (Susanne) Steele, Emily (Lance)
Franke, Elyssa (Harry)McGregor, Shannon (Eric) Fitzgerald, 13 great
grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, brother-in-laws; Billy (Betty) Steele,
and Robert Steele. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by
her loving husband; Wylie Clarence Steele, brothers; Ralph, David C., John,
Roebling, Charles and Edelman Bumgardner, sisters; Florence Cook, Melba Guthrie and Maebelle Steele.
The family will receive friends from 6-7pm, Tuesday at McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia. A Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Dick Whitner, will follow at 7pm in the Founders Chapel.
