Nancy married shortly after her parents death. She and Jimmy probably married in Madison or Carroll County Arkansas. She named one of her sons Andrew Jackson Littrell. This is a common name in the McCuistion family (Nancy's mother's family) , due to their close association with Andrew Jackson.

Jimmy and Nancy (Bear) Litttrell and Their Children
As of 2011, a complete list of Jimmy and Nancy's children has not been compiled. The 1870 census found in Barry County Missouri, near Cassville, of J. W. and Nancy Littrell seems to fit with our James and Nancy Littrell. It shows J. W. born in Alabama, and Nancy born in Arkansas with ages close. Several of the names of children are family names from Nancy's side of the family (the Bear family) such as Isabel and Hill. It is known that their son Andrew Jackson, was born in Missouri, so they lived in Missouri at some time. They may have moved north after the civil war to be among northern sympathizers, as James had been a Union soldier. Also, several of Nancy's siblings lived in southwest Missouri, so they would have been close to family.

Unfortunately, James and Nancy and family have not yet been found on the 1860 or 1880 census. In order to confirm that the 1870 is the correct family, the 1880 census needs to be found, as it should show their older children that were still at home, as well as the three younger children, Hugh, Jack, and Julia. The 1910 census shows that Nancy had 10 children with 3 surviving. The obituary of their son Hugh Alfred Littrell, dated 1947, list two siblings, Jack Littrell and Julie Littrell Gage.
