Stacy Lee Harrell, 41, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Edenton, and graduated from Hampton Roads Academy in 1989. He was the operator of Dean & Don's Garden Center, a local institution in Newport News. Before coming back home to work in the family business, Stacy traveled around the United States working for Niebur Golf Co. installing golf courses.

Stacy was preceded in death by his father, Alvin D. Harrell; his grandparents, Cecil and Louise Harrell and his grandfather, George E. Parrish.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Jaime Harrell and their three children, Riley and twins, Will and Jordan Harrell; his mother, Wanda Parrish of Newport News; his sister, Stephanie Hobbs and her husband, David, of Newport News; his grandmother, Mary Esther Parrish of North Carolina; nephews, Tristan and Dawson Hobbs of Newport News; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his extended family in Colorado and many, many dear friends

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church by Rev. Tag Kilgore. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Harrell College Fund, c/o Wells Fargo, 11006 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
