Queen Victoria "Jane" Hickman was the seventh of eight children born to Benjamin and Malinda (Hall) Hickman. She married James Hamilton Edwards on 5 December 1878. They were married 43 years before his death in 1922. Jane was the mother of eleven children. She is remembered as a tiny, sweet woman with an impressive bonnet collection. She worried about everyone but smiled often.
