Services for Mr. O. E. Summerlin, 80, of Mansfield, were held at
2 p.m., Sunday, June 21, in Drewett Memorial Chapel. Dr. William
Crosby officiated. Burial was at Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Summerlin died Friday, June 19, 1987, in Mansfield, after a
brief illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dell LaHod Summerlin of
Mansfield; one son, James C. Summerlin of Little Rock, Ark.;
three daughters, Sandra Wright of Many, Elouise Prater of Temple,
Tex., Dorthea Biggs of Duncanville, Tex.; three sisters, Miss
Bertha Summerlin, Mrs. Gertrude Doughty, Mrs. Myrtle Pritchard,
all of Jena; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his nephews. Honorary pallbearers were the
Baraca Sunday School class.
