John "Jesse" Chatwin was a Medic/Sergeant in the U. S. Army (Licensed Vocational Nurse), from 10 July 1975 to 18 June 1985, with a tour in Germany. He was the father of two children, a daughter who died young because of a hit and run driver, and a teenage son who died while battling a life threatening disease.
John was an accomplished singer. He worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco (Fort Miley) from 2002 to 2003. He was a kind and generous man who would do anything for anyone.
