He enlisted in the Army on April 15, 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a farm hand and also as single, without dependents. Robert, Service #32 265 493, died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident during the war.
